The vast universes of No Man’s Sky can currently already be explored on the PC, Xbox consoles, and also on the PlayStation versions.
Now the Nintendo Switch is being added as a possible console!
Discover distant worlds on the Switch
During the Nintendo Direct livestream, Nintendo announced a slew of games coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Among them is No Man’s Sky, the space title that mixes exploration with survival and sandbox elements.
If we go by the announcement trailer, the Switch edition will probably get all the updates the game has received in the last 5 years.
Technical hurdles overcome
According to Hello Games, a small team has been working on the implementation for Nintendo’s console for years. One difficulty was the procedural generation of the game world on the console, which ensures that undiscovered areas are generated moments before you see them.
After the developers had often feared that this would make implementation very difficult or even impossible, they now seem to have found a solution, which they are very proud of.
All of the game’s content – all interfaces, menus and gameplay elements – have been adapted to the Nintendo Switch, so you’ll soon be able to go exploring on the go with the Switch.
The release of the Nintendo Switch edition of No Man’s Sky is planned for summer 2022.
