After it was quiet around The Day Before for a while, the developers announced a final trailer a few days ago. This has now been released – and shows more real impressions from the game for the first time.
The game is also available on Steam again.

New final trailer
The new trailer for The Day Before is here and shows some impressions from the game itself for the first time. While we still don’t get to see completely uncut gameplay, it still shows more than Fntastic and Mytona have shown in any other release so far.
From the quite detailed character creation to story missions and a mission and trader system to the already touched housing, some things are shown and explained here.
This is what we get to see:
- Detailed character creation
- Story missions
- Missions to earn money
- Player hub called “Woodburry
- Gym and sauna to improve stats
- Currency system “Woodburry Coins
- Housing in instanced areas
- Stash system like in Escape from Tarkov
- Modifiable weapons
- Survival elements (hunger, thirst, life points)

New release date
As some leaks already suggested in advance, it won’t stay with the release date on November 10.
However, the new release date isn’t far away and should finally happen as early as December 7, 2023.
Only nine days before the actual release date, which has been postponed several times before, this is of course not exactly confidence-inspiring for survival fans.
The Day Before is back on Steam
Another aspect besides the new trailer that now gives hope to survival fans is that The Day Before is actually back on Steam now.
The Steam site is back online and after a legal battle over the name, Fntastic and Mytona have emerged victorious from it and are allowed to continue using the name.
Release type and price
In a statement released shortly after the trailer was released, the developers also commented on the nature of the release on December 7, 2023.
Thus, The Day Before will be released as an Early Access title on Steam on that day.
The price for the game was also announced: You will pay 39 dollars for Early Access, and the price will increase to 49 dollars for the full release.
There will also be no pre-order packages.
