Whether you like the game or not, you have to admit one thing about Infestation: Survivor Stories – the game is and remains a “stand-up guy” and never completely disappears from the scene.
Now a new version has been released which, despite its single-region servers, also attracts players from all other regions: Infestation SEA.

New version attracts players from all regions
Over the last few weeks, there have been repeated reports of a new version, which was released at the end of October with Infestation SEA.
The version was slightly expanded with a few features such as a new lobby, a battle and battle royale mode and a quest system.
As the name suggests, this version of the game is actually intended for players from the Southeast Asia region.
However, word of the release seems to have spread to other regions and for some, the rather high ping of 200 milliseconds or higher does not seem to be a knock-out criterion.
As a result, there are sometimes quite large groups of players from Europe and North America on the servers.

Infestation – A game with a bumpy career
Since its first announcement in 2012 as a “DayZ knock-off” with full-bodied promises that were not kept in the end, the game, which was originally released under the name WarZ, has been criticized.
Infestation: Survivor Stories changed developers, publishers and names many times over the years, but always appeared in different versions and variations.
The last officially internationally advertised version, Infestation: The New Z, is currently still available on Steam, but has dropped from almost 14,000 concurrent players at release in early 2017 to only around 350 concurrent players per day.
