In 2022, there will once again be a whole series of updates and innovations for Fallout 76. Bethesda recently announced what exactly is planned for the coming year with the release of the official roadmap for 2022.
According to this, there will be four big occasions – spring, summer, fall and winter – for which an update with special content will be released, but also a new season will start in each case.
Spring
In Spring 2022, “Invaders from Beyond” is coming up for the game. In it, Appalachia will be invaded by aliens and our task will be to fight them off in many new events and random encounters.
In addition to that, there will be an update for Fallout Worlds that will include a way to earn S.C.O.R.E. points, among other things.
Third up is Season 8 for Fallout 76, which will be titled A Better Life Underground.
Summer
A number of new events and challenges are coming in the summer with the “Test your Metal” Update. Among other things, there will be arena battles against deadly robots from the Fallout universe.
In addition, there will be upgrades for the Fallout 1st game board and the start of Season 9, which currently has no name, however.
Fallout
That we could get out of Appalachia at some point was already hinted at with the announcement of the expeditions last year.
In autumn the time has come, because then the update “Expeditions: The Pitt” releases and brings the expeditions into the game.
It will then be possible to explore post-nuclear Pittsburgh, complete missions there and get to know new friends as well as new enemies and, of course, receive new rewards.
In addition, there will be another new season – season 10 – in the fall, but its name is currently unknown.
Winter
At the end of the year, we will return to a DLC from Fallout 4 – or rather, the DLC will come to us: with Nuka World On Tour, there will be a kind of road show that will stop in Appalachia.
The update means the start of Season 11, new public events, and the appearance of various boss enemies that will likely be related to the Nuka World expansion.
