Dying Light 2 – The “Gut Feeling Update” makes the game significantly more brutal

With the new Gut Feeling update, Dying Light 2 will be much more brutal and gets new physics effects.
We show you what the new update brings with it!

More brutal gameplay

The game ramps up the brutality slider and enables many new effects on enemies’ bodies with the update. For example, you can now sever entire body parts, finishers have also become more brutal, and enemies now react even more strongly to collisions.
For example, you can kick them quite a bit against a lamppost – and they will be completely shredded.

In general, the game’s physics and ragdoll effects have been reworked and now look much snappier.

Transmog system

The new transmog system is a request that the community has long expressed. It allows you to put on a certain item as active equipment and project the appearance of another onto it.
So now you don’t have to choose between style and effectiveness – and you also get more incentive to unlock the many event costumes.

Weapon crafting

Also new in the game is the weapon crafting system. Using found and earned blueprints, you can now craft weapons according to your needs at a merchant in exchange for money from the old world and other materials.

These weapons can also be upgraded and become even more effective.

Pilgrim Outpost

The Pilgrim Outpost is a new feature that gives you new tasks in the game via a website.
You can accept and complete various bounties in Dying Light 1 or Dying Light 2 via the website, such as capturing items at night or killing certain infected.
In return, you’ll receive reputation points that increase your rank.

With each new rank, you’ll receive Pilgrim Tokens. You can then exchange them on the website for weapons, outfits and other cosmetic items, which you can then pick up in the game.

New event: Viral Rush

From April 20 to May 4, 2023, the Viral Rush event will run in the game. The event affects the infected in that they are now very agile even during the day and react much more sensitively to noise.
If you make noise, you’re sure to have hordes following you around, but this will definitely benefit you in the event tasks.

Among other things, two outfits of a character from the first part are waiting for you as a reward – Rahim!

• Warm-up Goal
  • Kill 100 Virals by cutting off or destroying their head
  • Reward: Pickaxe (melee weapon)
• Personal Goal
  • Kill 1000 Virals by cutting off or destroying their head
  • Reward: Rahim outfit and paraglider
• Global Goal
  • The community must kill 80,000,000 virals by cutting off or destroying their heads.
  • Reward: Viral Rahim outfit

To participate in the event you just need to log in to the Pilgrim Outpost website, connect your account and then you can redeem the items there after completing the tasks.
