The Epic Games Store is currently giving away the zombie action title Dead Island 2. Until May 22, 2025 at 5 p.m., you can get the game, which normally costs 49.99 euros, for free and keep it forever.
In addition to Dead Island 2, the indie horror adventure “Happy Game” is also available for free.
What is Dead Island 2?
Dead Island 2 is a gripping first-person action RPG that offers a unique blend of horror, black humor and over-the-top zombie slaughter. Contrary to what the name suggests, the title is not set on an island, but in zombie-infested Los Angeles – affectionately known as “HELL-A”.
The scenario: a deadly virus has spread in the City of Angels and turned the inhabitants into ravenous undead. The city is under quarantine and the military has withdrawn. As one of the few humans immune to the pathogen, it’s up to you to uncover the truth behind the outbreak and survive in this post-apocalyptic version of LA.

- Open the Epic Games Store Launcher
- Click on “Store
- Scroll down until you reach the “Free Games” heading
- Click on the unlocked game Dead Island 2
- “Buy” it for 0,00€.
