The hardcore PvPvE extraction shooter from South Korean studio Oneway Ticket Studio combines intense zombie action with strategic elements and is currently available in a time-limited tech test.

What is The Midnight Walkers?

The Midnight Walkers is a first-person shooter with a strong survival focus that takes you to the abandoned Liberty Grand Center. The multi-storey building is overrun with zombies and serves as the setting for fierce battles between the undead, other survivors and yourself.

The gameplay is based on the extraction principle: you explore different floors such as shopping centers, hospitals and casinos, collect valuable loot and then have to escape alive. If you die, you lose everything – if you survive, you can store your equipment in your personal stash or sell it on the Dark Web marketplace.

Core element: Poisonous atmosphere

A special feature of the game is the countdown-controlled poison gas system. Every few minutes, a random floor is flooded with deadly gas, forcing players to move to other levels via elevators or stairs. This mechanic provides constant tension and prevents players from entrenching themselves in a safe zone for too long.

Weapon arsenal and combat system

The Midnight Walkers offers a diverse range of weapons: from fast melee weapons such as the dagger and katana to heavy strike weapons such as the sledgehammer and ranged weapons such as bows and assault rifles. The recently revamped combat system gives weapons more weight and impact, making fights much more satisfying.

The zombies themselves are dangerous in different ways: while some approach slowly, others pounce on unwary survivors at lightning speed. There are also mutated variants and bosses that present special challenges.
